I first learned about Nance when he was a wonderful guest on Bill Maher's show a few years back (I am no longer even remotely a Maher fan, but his bookers convene great panels). Nance is a scholar, a soldier, a humanitarian, and a patriot -- a pretty rare combination of attributes. We need to keep listening to his insights.
Thank you both for confirming what many of us suspected was happening over the last six years and beyond. I first heard Malcolm on MSNBC years ago and have nothing but the utmost admiration and gratitude for his courage, candor and clarity. I would also add to this discussion that the autocratic King-maker Facebook plays one of the biggest roles in our internal threats, having provided a fertile ground for decades for enabling the growth and expansion of domestic terrorists. FB is well aware that neither AI nor thousands of content monitors can adequately monitor the billions of daily messages and media that pour through FB and its satellites: Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and Oculus - whistleblower Frances Haugen has shown us as much. In the bigger picture it's a high school math exercise: billions of exponential pieces of content can't be monitored unless FB revises its platform - no chance of that. We would do well to study the symbiotic agency and fallout that continue to emanate from this misaligned cadre of reckless, White privileged, Ivy League “run fast and break things” commercial puppets.

I’ve been listening to Malcolm Nance since Joy Reid regularly invited him to her show on Saturday mornings. I have always had such respect for him and often felt he was often ignored by the MSNBC hosts with the largest audiences as ‘extreme’ and yes, because he was black. The most important voices and those I pay attention to are Malcolm Nance, Frank Figliuzzi, Bandy Lee, Dave Troy, John Brennan, Joy Reid, Greg O’Lear, Eric Boehlert, Soledad O’Brien and others. And I agree the only way to reprogram these terrorists is to shame them. Unbelievably, I heard that a focus group in Marjorie Taylor Greene’s district was asked opinions about her based on her nutcase views. The general response from the participants was that they had no clue about her past and present statements. Unbelievable! Either they were lying or they are truly uninformed. The later is more frightening! Passivity and being disengaged from these critical issues will be the true fall of American Democracy. However, the ‘infrastructure’ of expert voices like yours and Malcolm Nance must be heard! Your courage and determination to inform makes you all heroes.

Though the Tweets convey very disconcerting messages about the future. Im in South Africa and we are watching this fascist threat with forboding. Both of you have sounded this alarm about the danger of the US Insurrection. The rightwing rethoric and dillusions are the most extreme I have ever encountered. Many of these rightwingers have such a great sense of impending loss, with replacement theory and the othering of other American compatriots that they are not far away from legitimising large scale murder. As you both mentioned and if they learn to organise properly will present a big threat to your country and the world.
