I’m in Rome for two weeks for a work project, so I’ll be sharing some of my favorite places. Last week I posted an image of the Pantheon. Here is my second favorite: the Castel Sant’Angelo and the bridge over the Tiber River leading to it, lined with gorgeous statues.

Here, under Rome’s brilliant blue skies, the statues guard a city emptied by the early pandemic (photo taken in March 2020).
