Log-in Info for Q&A Today, 1-2pmET
Texas, climate change, and a calming photo from Ireland
It’s been a tough few days, and I hope everyone living in areas hit by hurricane Ida is okay. Here’s the log-in information for the Zoom call at 1-2pmET today, Friday, September 3. If you’re new to Lucid, these are casual and supportive gatherings. Feel free to ask a question, comment, or just listen in. You can leave your camera off, and the call is not recorded. We’ll talk about the links between climate change and authoritarian policies, Texas as a laboratory of US illiberalism, the uptick in violent rhetoric in the US, and anything else on your mind. See you soon!
Here’s a clip of me speaking (at minute 7:10 onward) about the legitimation of violence on the Mehdi Hasan show a few days ago.
Each Friday, as visual relief from the news, I include a photo from my travels. I’ve asked Lucid subscribers to send me their own photos of favorite places at firstname.lastname@example.org. I’ll feature one each week. Today’s photo is courtesy of Jennifer Fonseca. It shows Kylemore Abbey in Connemara, Ireland.
