A threat to water can draw many tens of thousands of Native Americans and their allies in North America (Turtle Island). Please be thoughtful using it.

Here in Tex-Ass, where little is more important than high school football and making sure that our fascist leaders in the state Capital are well fed, people are waking up to the fact that we already have a water crisis and that our electrical grid is woefully inadequate. But Governor Hotwheels is pushing for more data centers.

When your favorability falls below 30% one never recovers with those numbers Cheeto will become the Herbert Hoover of the 1920's
The lesson: we cannot only be anti-Trump. It must be coupled with a positive agenda. "Anti-Trump" only forces those dedicated to him to continue viewing him as "targeted" and therefore the "abused". He has used this to garner support from those "undecided". El Salvador's "water agenda" is our "democracy agenda".

For those who are interested in learning more about this ongoing struggle in Latin America, I recommend a beautiful and positive film "Water For Life" . It tells the story of three water defenders in El Salvador-- Francisco Pineda, Chile--Alberto Curamil, and Honduras--Berta Caceres, respectively. Pineda played major role in the efforts described in Broad and Cavanagh's book. They each put their lives on the line to protect their water from massive international gold mining and hydro-elective projects. Berta paid the price with her life and was assassinated in 2016 but her daughters carry on her legacy to this day. The film follows these victory stories and shows how grave set backs happen when political change happens at the top. In the USA, the lesson for us is clear: People Have the Power and we all have to exercise that power with bottom up resistance grounded in community, positivity and pragmatism.
