Is this why Trump's crypto schemes had to be finalized right away--to fill up his billionaires with their ill-gotten gains so they don't react so much when their businesses go to sh*t and their stock portfolios start tanking?

Trump has been bad-mouthing BLS data since Obama was president. I recalled this exchange between Press Secretary Sean Spicer and a WH reporter early in Trump's first term (after a very good Jobs Report):
REPORTER: "Does the President still believe the BLS data is bogus?"
SPICER: "President Trump asked to be quoted directly: 'They may have been phony in the past but it's very real now."
I do wonder: what level of suffering will it take for die hard MAGA to stop blaming Biden, Obama, Hillary’s emails for the damage inflicted by Republicans?

If the accurate aggregate stats mattered, Harris would have won. I doubt gov’t stats will substitute for voters experience of the economy. Financial markets will find their own sources of accurate data, even if they are afraid to quote it!
Great Depression 2.0, unfortunately. Except for the extreme wealthy it will be a standard of living equivalent to 2nd and 3rd world nations. We already have 10-20% living below the poverty line.
