It’s not just affordability. It’s also the corporatization of our healthcare system and many other systems. The corporatization of our multiple systems is destroying the quality of our lifelines. Examples, healthcare, Housing, postal care, veterinary care, agriculture, etc. These are all being taken over by corporations that are destroying the quality of our lives. Government plus corporations equals fascism. This formula is not being talked about it, but it is what we are experiencing in our lives. It’s not just that prices are going up. Please talk about the role of corporatization in fascism. This is what we’re experiencing now.
Unfortunately, Hungary's ouster of Orban does not assure Americans will be able to oust Republicans from control of the House and Senate in November. Hungary uses paper ballots which are hand counted. We count ballots electronically using federally supplied election software under the control of the Trump dominated Election Assistance Commission which may have been corrupted by malware that can subtly tweak the vote count to favor the desired candidate. Election Truth Alliance discovered numerous unexplainable statistical anomalies in the 2024 presidential election, yet not a single election official, including Benson, has been willing to conduct a line by line forensic examination of the computer code in the election software. Instead they rely on simple, easily defeatable tests of voting equipment and woefully inadequate risk limiting audits. Trump must corrupt the midterms to keep Republicans in control of the House and Senate to complete his authoritarian takeover and protect himself and his cronies. Much attention has focused on his attempts to suppress the vote, but the hidden vulnerability is his ability to manipulate the vote count.
We are living with problems on many fronts driving affordability and quality of life issues: a government mostly aligned to the needs and aspirations of Epstein elites; business capture by Milton Friedman economics, i.e., shareholder value is the only goal, as well as the rise of hedge funds and monopolistic business practices; and a hostile appropriation of the national cultural by white supremacists and a pseudo Christianity: Christian Nationalism. For the regular citizen the new reality translates into being treated mostly as a tax paying subject by the government with tentative civil liberties; living under exploitative labor practices by businesses such as the gig economy, wage stagnation, part time employment with no benefits, and job security uncertainty; and cultural appropriation by a minority that reduces out groups and people of color to peasants and mud sills. This is not an exhaustive list and these are not problems solved quickly. We are seeing in Hungary, however, people will turn out to vote for candidates trying to finding solutions for the problems important to them. Now is the time we need to advance real solutions that will assure voter turn out at the midterms. Most of us know our present situation is unacceptable, but the solutions are still only coming into focus. How can we sharpen that focus to bring out the vote to expel MAGA and eventually Herr Trump?

Finally someone is willing to say the quiet part out loud In an interview(https://bit.ly/41rrNPb )with Greg Sargent over at the New Republic political theorist Alan Elrod makes the point that an electorate that votes an immoral cretin like Cheeto twice into office has something seriously wrong with it
As Elrod points out, "No morally healthy country would put this man in power twice," adding, "We have become a morally insane, civically disordered, and self-regardingly decadent country."
Yes, it’s hard to be introspective Hungary found this out with Orban and shows that democratic countries can right themselves Interviews with on the street Hungarians several months ago in one MSNOW segment showed the resolve to right the ship of state after having been oppressed for 16y In those interviews those interviewed spoke to Americans directly saying, “don’t make the same mistake we made”
So Hungary is leading the way to show America how to end strongman autocracy….how and what it will be done to “redemocratize” the US, as Maddow relates, after Cheeto and his Nazi Republicans are thrown out of office and never to return again These efforts to right the ship will have to be concerted and well planned and thought out in order to correct the autocratic damage that has been done
But yet here we are Some of the electorate believed absent mindedly all the Cheeto campaign lies but there is always another day and come November it’ll be a new dawn and a new day
